Matt has twenty plus years of experience in the golf industry, that has taken him through four states, Oregon, Washington, North Carolina and now Virginia. This is Matta��s fourth Head Professional position, most recently at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, NC. Matt grew up in the great state of Oregon and has enjoyed the game of golf since the age of twelve. After attending the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!), Matt joined the PGA of America and became a member in 2007. When he is not in golf shop or on the course playing, Matt spends his free time with his wife Kara, son Breccan and daughter Quinn.

What an amazing day we had for the Jimmy Barretta��s Blue Ball Open hosted by the Club at Viniterra and New Kent Winery yesterday.A� The theme for this yeara��s event was the a�?Best of Blue Balla�?: therefore they had some of their best, funniest and most entertaining holes out on the course.A� Some of the tricked out holes included The Big Green Monster a large wall constructed around one of the greens, dessert storm hole where you had to tee off from the sand, meteorite hole, and much more.A� New Kent Winery had wine tasting A�out on the course and the outing was followed by A�an award ceremony A�at the winery. DeFazioa��s catering donating their time and kept our tummies full with some delicious chili, cornbread and all the fixings.A� A great time was had by all for a great cause.. goal was to raise over $40,000 for the Fisher House!A� We cannot wait to find out the total amount raised. Thank you to everyone that came out for this truly unique event!

Matt has twenty plus years of experience in the golf industry, that has taken him through four states, Oregon, Washington, North Carolina and now Virginia. This is Matta��s fourth Head Professional position, most recently at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, NC. Matt grew up in the great state of Oregon and has enjoyed the game of golf since the age of twelve. After attending the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!), Matt joined the PGA of America and became a member in 2007. When he is not in golf shop or on the course playing, Matt spends his free time with his wife Kara, son Breccan and daughter Quinn. If you have not already please stop by the pro-shop to meet Matt.

We are excited to be part of the Jimmy Barrett Blue Ball again this year!

Please join us for the 10th Annual Jimmy Barrett Blue Ball Open! By participating in this event you will be helping our nationa��s wounded veterans and their families in a very tangible way. All proceeds go to support the Richmond Fisher House at McGuire Veterans Hospital.

The tournament will be held Friday, March 21st at theA�Club at ViniterraA�next to New Kent Winery. This year the theme is a�?Best-Of The Blue Balla�?: therefore some of our best, funniest, and most entertaining holes will be constructed and played for this event. Remember a�?Marshmallow Holea�??

There will be two rounds of golf a�� a morning round and an afternoon round. There will be a brief awards ceremony after each round atA�New Kent WineryA�next door to the golf course.
